About us

Bass Valley Primary School is a rural school situated between the Bass Highway and the small Coastal town of Corinella on the lands of the Bunurong/Boonwurrung people. It is surrounded by the small coastal townships of Corinella, Grantville, Bass and Coronet Bay.

Most of the school’s 240 students travel to school by bus. The bus network covers surrounding townships and rural settlements of Bass, Corinella, Coronet Bay, Pioneer Bay, Grantville, The Gurdies, Kernot, Almurta and Woodleigh. To qualify for bus travel students must reside outside of a 5 km radius to the school.

Be Your Best

We value inclusive, safe and orderly learning environments where all students can strive to be their best.

Be Safe

We work with each other to be safe in our school community. We are safe with our own bodies and minds, those of others and our school environment.

Be Kind

We show kindness and respect to ourselves, others and our school environment. We use our manners and show consideration as we work together at school and in the community.

Be PROBLEM SOLVERS

We encourage students to think critically and creatively, persist in the face of challenges and learn from mis- takes. We use strategies to solve problems and ask for help when we need it.
