Our school uses the platform SeeSaw to deliver remote learning resources during periods of lockdown. Please get in contact with the office, or your child’s teacher if you need a new copy of your child’s SeeSaw login information

Tips and Tricks for Learning From Home

The following links will give you information and tips for assisting your child with online learning. You will find information on e-safety, monitoring screen time and establishing routines for online learning at home.

Wellbeing During COVID-19

Wellbeing comes from physical, mental and emotional health. For children and young people, there are many things that build positive wellbeing:

  • understanding and managing emotions
  • having good relationships
  • experiencing a sense of accomplishment
  • taking part in healthy activities, getting lots of sleep and eating well

If you or someone you know is distressed or struggling with the challenges COVID-19 is placing on the community you can follow one of the links below for support:

  • Parentline – a phone service for parents and carers of children from birth to 18 years old. Offers confidential and anonymous counselling and support for parenting issues.
  • Raising Children’s Network: parent mental health – offers advice and support on looking after yourself, healthy relationships, conflict management, dealing with stress and anxiety, anger management and helping children adjust to family breakdown.
  • Better Health Channel’s Self-Care – provides self-care strategies, connecting with others, being kind to yourself, relationship support, seeking mental health support.
  • Lifeline – a national organisation providing all Australian’s experiencing a personal crisis with access to 24-hour crisis support and suicide prevention strategies.
  • Beyond Blue – offers confidential one on one calls and chats with a trained mental health professional and tools and resources to look after your mental health.
  • Black Dog Institute – provides self-tools and apps, advice on when and where to seek help, information on mental health conditions and support groups.

Online Parenting Advice

Triple P – positive parenting is an online tool to help you:

  • raise happy, confident and resilient children
  • manage misbehaviour so everyone in the family enjoys life more
  • encourage positive behaviour
  • set family routines and rules that everyone can follow
  • balance work and family life with less stress
  • take care of yourself

The program is suitable for families with children between the age of 2 and 16 years, and is free for Victorians with a Health Care Card, otherwise there is a once-off fee. The current pandemic has raised new parenting challenges for everyone. The program, funded by the Victorian Government, helps parents during these challenging times.
