Public Speaking

Each year the grade 6 students takes part in the Public Speaking Program. The program involves the students preparing and presenting a number of speeches. They also learn to evaluate the speeches of others. The students learn to speak clearly and with expression and gain confidence when addressing an audience. The program finishes with a Graduation and Competition Night where students showcase their new skills in front of their parents and celebrate what they have achieved throughout the program. The overall winner from our own graduation night is invited to participate in the rotary public speaking competition.
