Gardening

Students and staff at Bass Valley Primary work hard every year working in and maintaining a number of vegetable plots and fruit trees. Students learn how to plant, care for and harvest a variety of seasonal fruit and vegetables. Fresh produce is sold at assemblies by students and other produce is used by the students to create wonderful tasty snacks.

Some of the snacks students have enjoyed cooking and eating from our own gardens have been apple and pear crumble, garlic bread and corn on the cob.
